Austin's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Del Valle Cardinals 2-1. Given the Maroons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Cardinals are ranked 449th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Austin's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Del Valle, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 1-10 record this season.
