Basketball Recap: Yorktown Comes Up Short

Yorktown was the 48-38 winner over Woodsboro when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Yorktown Wildcats took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodsboro Eagles on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly seven points.

Yorktown's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Woodsboro, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-14.

Coming up, Yorktown will welcome Three Rivers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Yorktown is facing Three Rivers at the right time seeing as Three Rivers is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Woodsboro, they will square off against Port Aransas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
