Softball Game Preview: Coastal Christian Conquerors vs. Nipomo Titans

The Coastal Christian Conquerors will challenge the Nipomo Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Coastal Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Del Oro on Monday. Coastal Christian put the hurt on Del Oro with a sharp 12-1 win. The contest marked the Conquerors' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Nipomo came into Tuesday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Atascadero by a score of 7-4 on Tuesday. The Titans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ava Camacho spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Arianna Lanier, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in doubles. Sophie Quaresma also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Nipomo's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Coastal Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
