Sonora takes loss despite strong efforts from Riley Edwards and Jonathan Curran

Recap: Sonora Wildcats vs. Pitman Pride
After flying high against the Livingston Wolves on Thursday, the Sonora Wildcats came back down to earth. Sonora was outmatched by Pitman on the road and fell 55-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sonora has scored all season.
Sonora's loss on Saturday came despite strong showings from Jonathan Curran and Riley Edwards. Curran scored 11 points along with five rebounds, while Edwards scored seven points along with five rebounds. Curran also grabbed two steals for the first time this season.
Sonora's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Pitman, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.
Sonora and Escalon will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. One thing working in Escalon's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Pitman will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Amador Valley at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
