Potsdam hadn't done well against Gouverneur recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Sandstoners took down the Wildcats 40-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sandstoners also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Gannon Colbert was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 242 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. Brodey Delaney helped out on the ground, rushing for 91 yards.

Potsdam has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 41.0 points this season. As for Gouverneur, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
