Basketball Recap: Murtaugh Takes a Loss

Murtaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 58-36 to the Oakley Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Hornets are ranked 11th).

Murtaugh's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Oakley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Murtaugh will take on Raft River at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oakley has already played their next game (against Hagerman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
