Football Recap: Man Comes Up Short

Man fell victim to Chapmanville Regional and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Tigers 55-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Hillbillies were not able to get on the board.

Chapmanville Regional's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Preston Kovach, who rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Kovach is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 118 every time he's taken the field this season. Dakota Dalton was another key signal caller, throwing for 203 yards and three TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes.

This is the second loss in a row for Man and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Chapmanville Regional, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Man will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Scott at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Chapmanville Regional, they will challenge Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
