Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cherokee). They were the clear victor by a 78-52 margin over the Claiborne Bulldogs on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Chiefs have posted since February 12, 2024.

Cherokee's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Claiborne, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Grainger at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Claiborne, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
