Basketball Recap: Meadow Bridge Takes a Loss

Meadow Bridge lost against Gilmer County back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Meadow Bridge Wildcats had to suffer through a 85-27 loss at the hands of the Gilmer County Titans. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Gilmer County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kolten Holbert, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 18 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Holbert is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Ratliff, who posted ten points and six steals.

Meadow Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Gilmer County, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.

Meadow Bridge has already played their next match (against Montcalm), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gilmer County has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Wahama.
