Softball Recap: Liberty Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Liberty entered their tilt with Lake Dallas on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Falcons. This was a revenge game for the Redhawks: when they faced off against the Falcons on Tuesday, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Greer Shurr was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelsy Duran, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Liberty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Lake Dallas, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1.

Looking ahead, Liberty will head out to square off against Keller at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. The Redhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Lake Dallas, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Howe at 3:30 p.m.
