Basketball Recap: Polk County Takes a Loss

Polk County lost against Brevard back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Polk County Wolverines took a blow against the Brevard Blue Devils, falling 73-42. The Wolverines were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-18.

Despite the loss, Polk County still got an impressive performance from Aaron Jackson, who posted 22 points. Jackson's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

Polk County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Brevard, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Polk County nor Brevard have any future games scheduled.
