Minnetonka strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Shakopee Sabers, sneaking past 4-2. While the Skippers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Minnetonka's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs across that stretch. As for Shakopee, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Minnetonka didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-3 victory against St. Michael-Albertville on the 16th. As for Shakopee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Burnsville on the 16th.
