Volleyball Recap: Waterloo Cougars vs. Wilson Warriors

Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Wilson Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Wilson can attribute much of their success to Kyleigh Thompson, who had four digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Thompson a new career-high. Mollie Buerhaus also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Waterloo's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Wilson, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 26-10.

Coming up, Waterloo will head out on the road to square off against Colbert County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Rogers on the 4th.
