Volleyball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Griswold

Griswold came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Putnam Clippers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.

In the three sets Griswold was on fire: they won each by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 23-25, 25-8, 25-7.

Griswold was led to victory by Carly Rubino and Maryn Austin. Rubino had 14 digs and six aces, while Austin had nine digs and one assist. Rubino has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Griswold was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 19 consecutive matchups.

Griswold's record is now 15-6. As for Putnam, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

As of now, neither Griswold nor the Clippers have any future games scheduled.
