Softball Recap: Brownsburg Wins Going Away Against Lawrence North

Brownsburg never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Lawrence North on Monday. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 10-2 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Avery Toole looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bailey Paddock, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Neal, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Brownsburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence North only posted an OBP of .345.

Brownsburg's record is now 13-8. As for Lawrence North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Brownsburg will head out to take on Noblesville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.7, the Millers 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Lawrence North, they will welcome Pike at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
