Sutherlin has gone a perfect 4-0 against Brookings-Harbor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Bruins at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Sutherlin fought the good fight in their overtime game against Douglas on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They and the Trojans were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 41-40 loss.

Sutherlin might have lost, but man, Eden Cardoza was a machine: he rushed for 254 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. Elijah Manasco was another key rusher, rushing for 97 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Brookings-Harbor came up short against Coquille on Friday, falling 34-14. The matchup marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sutherlin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Brookings-Harbor, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything went Sutherlin's way against Brookings-Harbor in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Sutherlin made off with a 37-13 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bruins' Michael Varitek, who rushed for 90 yards and a pair of scores.
