Basketball Recap: North Stafford Comes Up Short

North Stafford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Massaponax Panthers, falling 49-27. The Wolverines were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Taliyah Alexander was the offensive standout of the match as she went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points and five boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2024. Jada Johnson was another key player, putting up five points and four steals.

North Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Massaponax, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Massaponax beat North Stafford by a score of 47-33 on Tuesday.
