Football Recap: Saint James Trojans vs. Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats
Saint James lost against Trinity Presbyterian back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans fell 34-28 to the Wildcats.
It was another big night for Tillman Clements, who rushed for 229 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 42 receiving yards and one TD for Trinity Presbyterian. Clements was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards. Another player making a difference was Land Sharpless, who threw for 223 yards and three TDs on only 19 passes.
Saint James' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Trinity Presbyterian, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Coming up, Saint James will head out to challenge Booker T. Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they will be playing at home against Montgomery Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
