Basketball Recap: New Covenant Christian Takes a Loss

New Covenant Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Vanguard Christian Knights 63-10. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against New Covenant Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in January.

Vanguard Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from David McDonald, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. That's the most points McDonald has posted since back in February of 2024. Isaiah Postell was another key player, putting up eight points and eight boards.

New Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Vanguard Christian, their win bumped their record up to 17-4.

New Covenant Christian has already played their next game (against McCauley Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Vanguard Christian will be playing at home against Calvary Chapel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Vanguard Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.
