Softball Recap: Conrad Takes a Loss

Conrad extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 6-10 in the process. They came up short against the Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua Scotties, falling 10-2. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scotties apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Harper Sanders made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

As for Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4. Considering they have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

On Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua's side, Brynn Donaldson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tessa Miller, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Macy Martin was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Conrad didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-10 defeat against Huntley Project on the 26th. Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua has also already played their next contest (against Columbus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
