After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lumpkin County, Lanier was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Mountain View Bears with a sharp 12-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Longhorns considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Sara Wilson, who went 3-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and a double. Ansley Idland was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lanier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.
