Baseball Recap: Okawville Takes a Loss

Okawville extended their losing streak to ten on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-10 in the process. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wesclin Warriors. The Rockets were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Okawville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was Anderson's first of the season.

As for Wesclin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-10 record this season. The game marked their most dominant victory of the season.

On Wesclin's side, Owen Szpila spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

Looking ahead, Wesclin will square off against Dupo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Okawville will be paying especially close attention to the Warriors' contest: after the Warriors face off against the Tigers, they'll take on Okawville again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
