After a string of eight wins, McPherson's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Clay Center Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Bullpups were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2020.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, McPherson sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-16, 18-25, 25-17.

McPherson's defeat dropped their record down to 32-7. As for Clay Center, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 26 of their last 27 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 40-3 record this season.

McPherson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Hayden on the 31st. As for Clay Center, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Andale on the 1st.
