After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carmi-White County, Benton was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Centralia Orphans 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rangers have posted since May 1, 2024.

Peyton Robinson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off ten hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
