Softball Recap: Jacksboro Comes Up Short

Jacksboro came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Boyd Yellowjackets, falling 9-1. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 6-5 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in February of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brooke Reaves spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and six unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up six Ks.

Jacksboro's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Boyd, their record is now 4-1.

Jacksboro has already played their next matchup, a 14-3 defeat against China Spring on the 19th. As for Boyd, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-4 victory against Benbrook on the 19th.
