Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Albany). They walked away with a 79-67 victory over the North Pontotoc Vikings on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Leading New Albany to victory were Decorion Hardin and Amari Hubbard. Hardin went 9 for 14 on his way to 22 points, while Hubbard went 8 of 12 on his way to 21 points. Hubbard is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Issac Gilbert was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 10 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

New Albany's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for North Pontotoc, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Albany will face off against Senatobia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in New Albany's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for North Pontotoc, they will square off against South Pontotoc at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
