Basketball Game Preview: Coppell Cowboys vs. Braswell Bengals

The Coppell Cowboys are taking a road trip to take on the Braswell Bengals at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Coppell took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Lewisville by a score of 52-43. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Farmers are ranked 378th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Braswell had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 58-50 win over the Jaguars.

Braswell is also on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 games, which provided a nice bump to their 29-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Coppell, they now have a winning record of 16-15.

Coppell suffered a grim 55-35 defeat to Braswell when the teams last played on January 3rd. Can Coppell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
