Softball Preview: Holly Bronchos vs. Kearsley Hornets
The Holly Bronchos will head out on the road to take on the Kearsley Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Kearsley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Holly, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Holly was able to grind out a solid win over Swartz Creek, taking the game 7-3. The Bronchos haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Alyssa Bowman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.
On the hitting side, Holly let Lauren Elliot and Abbey Quick run wild. Elliot went 2-for-3 with three runs, while Quick went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Paisley McDougal also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
