Softball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

If Liberty was feeling good fresh off their 22-0 takedown of Fallsburg on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians came up short against the Port Jervis Raiders on Thursday, falling 17-0. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.

Liberty saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angie Wheeler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Port Jervis, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Liberty will challenge Sullivan West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Port Jervis, they will look to defend their home field on the 9th against Beacon at 4:30 p.m.
