Baseball Recap: Mcloud Drops Highest Score of Season Against Prague

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McLoud). Everything went their way against the Prague Red Devils on Saturday as they made off with a 20-12 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Redskins considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Castin Schafer was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Leonard, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

McLoud always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

McLoud is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Prague, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Looking ahead, McLoud will head out on the road to square off against Harding Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Prague will be paying especially close attention to the Redskins' game: after the Redskins faces off against Harding Prep, they'll take on Prague again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
