Softball Recap: West Orange's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, West Orange brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Wekiva Mustangs on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Ilaria Forte and Cali Flowers did most of the damage at the plate: Forte went 2-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base, while Flowers scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those five RBI gave Forte a new career-high. Audrey Carrien also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: West Orange kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wekiva only managed six hits.

West Orange's record is now 2-8. As for Wekiva, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
