Soccer Game Preview: Cooper vs. Abilene

The Cooper Cougars will take on the Abilene Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cooper hadn't beaten Wylie on the road since March 2, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 3-2. Cooper haven't had any issues with Wylie recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Abilene kept a clean sheet against Memorial on Friday. They came out on top against the Mavericks by a score of 2-0. Given Abilene's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Memorial are ranked 484th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cooper's win bumped their record up to 9-7-3. As for Abilene, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3-2.
