Preview: Monta Vista Matadors vs. South San Francisco Warriors
The Monta Vista Matadors will head out on the road to face off against the South San Francisco Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Monta Vista had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They really took it to Lynbrook for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-6 victory on the road. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Monta Vista's six-point performance the matchup before.
Among those leading the charge was Rohit Pamidi, who rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 33 yards and a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Monta Vista's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Lynbrook's QB won't forget Justin Chaahoub anytime soon given Chaahoub sacked him six times.
Meanwhile, South San Francisco entered their tilt with Cupertino with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. South San Francisco strolled past Cupertino with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 25-6.

Fields hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for four straight games. Marcus Mercurio also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
