Recap: Tahlequah vs. East Central
While not quite a landslide, the contest between Tahlequah and East Central the last time the two teams met was still a pretty decisive one as Tahlequah wrapped it up with a 41-22 win. The success made it back-to-back wins for Tahlequah.
Tahlequah's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 20 points in the first half. East Central wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 8 to make it 20-8 heading into the break. The offense for Tahlequah continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 21 points to put the game away.
The victory bumped Tahlequah's record up to 7-1. The defeat dropped East Central's record to 3-5.
It's more conference action for Tahlequah and East Central in their upcoming matches. Next week Tahlequah will take on Memorial at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. East Central will look to defend their home turf against Will Rogers College at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
