After losing to Church Point the last time they met, Northwest decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Northwest Raiders took down the Church Point Bears 45-31 on Monday. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Bears are ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwest has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Church Point, their loss dropped their record down to 11-17.

Northwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-20 win against Mamou on the 13th. As for Church Point, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-17 victory against Crowley on the 13th.
