Edison is 9-1 against Newport Harbor since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Edison Chargers will head out to challenge the Newport Harbor Sailors at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Edison's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Last Friday, Edison was beaten by Los Alamitos 93-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (60), the Chargers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Newport Harbor was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 82-78 to Los Alamitos. The defeat continues a trend for the Sailors in their matchups with the Griffins: they've now lost four in a row.

Newport Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Edison didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Newport Harbor when the teams last played on January 8th, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edison since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
