Shenendehowa came out on top against Guilderland on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Plainsmen were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Flying Dutchmen. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Plainsmen have posted against the Flying Dutchmen since May 28, 2021.

Maximus Palermo tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew Redick, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaar Bhusri, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The win got Shenendehowa back to even at 2-2-1. As for Guilderland, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
