Baseball Recap: Pine Creek Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Pine Creek entered their tilt with Pendleton on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Buckaroos. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.

Matthew Brady looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Aiden Wilson and Jake Holm did most of the damage at the plate: Wilson scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Holm scored a run and stole two bases. Those two stolen bases gave Holm a new career-high. Troy Peerey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Pine Creek's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Pendleton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Pine Creek didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-3 win against Piedra Vista on the 27th. As for Pendleton, they will head out on the road to square off against Hood River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
