Softball Recap: Mount Miguel Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Mount Miguel's offense. They lost 19-0 to the Helix Highlanders on Friday. If the Matadors were looking for revenge after losing 17-1 to the Highlanders when the teams met back in May of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mount Miguel has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Helix, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mount Miguel will take on rival El Cajon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Helix is set to challenge their familiar foe Grossmont at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
