Baseball Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Springfield Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered since April 1st.

Waterloo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon McClain, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Waterloo's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Springfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Coming up, Waterloo will square off against Mineral Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Springfield, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pymatuning Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
