Basketball Recap: Goessel's Losing Streak Snapped at 13 Games

Goessel had to endure a 13-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 53-44 victory over the Udall Eagles on Tuesday. The Bluebirds have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Udall's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Mason, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Hornecker, who went 6 of 11 en route to 14 points and three steals.

Goessel's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Udall, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Goessel has already played their next game, a 50-16 defeat against Sedgwick on the 31st. As for Udall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-42 loss against West Elk on the 31st.
