Baseball Game Preview: Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers vs. Sequatchie County Indians

The Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers will square off against the Sequatchie County Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Warren County 3.4, Sequatchie County 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Warren County's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Forrest hitters got past them. Warren County walked away with a 15-11 victory over Forrest on Tuesday. With that win, the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.

Tyler Adams was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerren Harris, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Adams wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Warren County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Sequatchie County didn't have quite enough to beat Brighton on Thursday and fell 5-4.

The victory was the third in a row for Warren County, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Sequatchie County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
