Basketball Game Preview: Harrison Blue Tide vs. Rutherford Bulldogs

Harrison is 0-4 against Rutherford since March of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Harrison Blue Tide will welcome the Rutherford Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Harrison knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Rutherford likes a good challenge.

While Harrison didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology with a 59-53 victory on Friday.

Meanwhile, Rutherford put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Park Ridge 60-29. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Harrison's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Rutherford, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Harrison took a serious blow against Rutherford in their previous matchup back in January, falling 62-23. Can Harrison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
