Volleyball Recap: St. Albans Comes Up Short

St. Albans lost against Woodrow Wilson on Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Dragons fell 2-0 to the Flying Eagles.

Bethany Farry paced St. Albans' offense, picking up five kills. Farry got some help from Morgan McVicker and her six assists. Finally, Sophia Eary kept St. Albans' defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Woodrow Wilson was led to victory by Londen Baker and Kaelyn Meadows. Baker had ten digs and two aces, while Meadows had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Meadows has posted over her last 14 contests.

St. Albans' defeat dropped their record down to 24-16-1. As for Woodrow Wilson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-13-6 record this season.

St. Albans didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Spring Valley on the 25th. As for Woodrow Wilson, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Parkersburg South on the 25th.
