Softball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

Lafayette was the 4-3 winner over Great Crossing when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Generals fell just short of the Warhawks by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday.

Lafayette saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Clay Denton, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 23-9. As for Great Crossing, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Lafayette nor Great Crossing have any future games scheduled.
