Baseball Recap: Rantoul Takes a Loss

Rantoul fell victim to Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Eagles have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Rantoul's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rantoul will face off against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, they will challenge Armstrong at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Trojans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
