Preview: Everett Seagulls vs. Mountlake Terrace Hawks
Everett is 0-7 against Mountlake Terrace since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Everett Seagulls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mountlake Terrace Hawks at 7:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Everett comes in on three and Mountlake Terrace on four.
Even though Everett has not done well against Shorecrest recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Everett strolled past Shorecrest with points to spare, taking the game 67-49.
Everett's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Bloomfield, who scored 19 points. Isaiah White was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mountlake Terrace didn't have too much trouble with Monroe on the road on Friday as they won 69-51. Given Mountlake Terrace's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Monroe is ranked 107th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Everett's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Mountlake Terrace, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
