Softball Game Preview: Cherokee Chiefs vs. North Greene Huskies

The Cherokee Chiefs will venture away from home to take on the North Greene Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cherokee has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 17.

Cherokee couldn't beat Greeneville on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Chiefs fell just short of the Greene Devils by a score of 6-4. That's two games in a row now that the Chiefs have lost by exactly two runs.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, North Greene's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 12-4 to Greeneville.

North Greene's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Cherokee, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Cherokee might still be hurting after the 11-4 loss they got from North Greene in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Chiefs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
