Football Recap: Mesquite Wildcats vs. St. John Paul II Catholic Lions

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Campo Verde, Mesquite was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions a 24-0 shutout. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Jordyn Flores, who threw for 179 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also rushed for 63 yards on only five carries. A healthy portion of that aerial production (106 yards to be exact) went to Norija Anthony.
