Basketball Recap: Atlanta Takes a Loss

Atlanta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 73-16 loss at the hands of the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines. The match marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Au Gres-Sims got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lillie Maser out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine rebounds. Those 29 points gave Maser a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Fox, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 20 boards.

Atlanta's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Au Gres-Sims, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Atlanta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-33 loss against Hale on the 14th. As for Au Gres-Sims, they will venture away from home to take on Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
